VROOM! Big Trucks are coming back to Hinesburg!

 

Hinesburg, VT —Get up close and personal with some of the most fascinating diggers, dump trucks, fire engines, racecars, Monster Trucks and wreckers around – it’s Big Truck Day!  Come experience family fun at its best Saturday, May 8th from 10am – 2pm at the Hinesburg Nursery School. Climb on, peer through and explore first hand really cool really big trucks and cars!

 

Big Truck Day is an annual community event that includes over 30 parked vehicles for the young and young at heart to explore. We serve up a delicious BBQ of hamburgers, hotdogs, veggie burgers, grilled cheese, chips, beverages and the best assortment of homemade baked goods you can imagine so save room for dessert!  Children of all ages will enjoy hands-on crafts, the ever-popular Bouncy House, Clifford the Big Red Dog and so much more.  Bring your camera, your appetite and all your friends and family to this wonderful family-friendly community event. Back this year is Eagle Country 97.5FM with live music with Lobo beginning at 10am!    

 

Admission for Big Truck Day is $5 per child - Adults are FREE! Proceeds from Big Truck Day benefit the Hinesburg Nursery School, a nonprofit, state licensed parent cooperative preschool for children ages 3-5 located adjacent to the Hinesburg Community School. HNS is currently accepting registrations for the fall program.

Stuff/Wish List for the classroom:
  • new sturdy Tonka trucks for the sandbox

  • Brio trains- we have plenty of track, but precious few trains

  • a ladder for the swingset

  • sturdy plastic animal families: horses, dogs, cats, woodland animals

  • a small aquarium tank (10 gallon)

  • flower bulbs for fall forcing (tulips, hyacinths, crocus)


Policy Reminders:
  • Student illness – please do not bring your child to school if he/she is coughing, sneezing or has other symptoms of illness. Your child must be fever-free for 24hrs. prior to returning to school.

  • Snow policy - We follow the Hinesburg Community School.  If HCS is closed we are closed. If HCS is 2 hours late we are 2 hours late. You can find school closings at HCS Closing status
